There used to be a possibility to refresh a semantic model (used to be called a DATASET, right?) stored on OneDrive direclty in the BI Service without installing Gateway and dealing with all this headache.
If I understand well, BI Service went backwards and this option is no longer available? Now to have a scheduled refresh for a file stored on OneDrive I need to install Power BI Desktop => Publish it => Install Power BI Gateway => Set scheduled refresh.
Is that correct?
Hi @whatever610
This is still possible here are the details on how to do it. Refresh a semantic model from OneDrive or SharePoint Online - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
I have read it, but it explains how to do it by using POWER BI DESKTOP first and store the file on the OneDrive.
Or I misunderstood it?
I am seriously confused already..
