I am trying out the new workspaces feature, and so far I like it a lot.
However, I am having trouble adding groups or containers for security when I publish the app it says it suports this but I am not having any luck:
Assign workspace roles to user groups: security groups, distribution lists, Office 365 groups, and individuals.
When I go to publish it and enter "Specific individuals or group" under Permissions it only seems to accept email addresses or email address distribution lists.
We have SPO groups called "All Employees" or various department groups but none of those work, only literal email addresses.
Am I missing something here?
EDIT: It appears I can add groups to the Workspace itself as an Admin, Contributor, or Member... but not to the app as I publish it?
That seems counter intuitive, I don't want users to see the workspace and clutter that up, or worse, delete, add, or modify things!
I just want people to see the App when it is published.

Then when you publish the app, the group could be added:
