As the topic mentioned, is it by design that I can't use native SQL in Dataflow ?
I use SQL query to Azure SQL database to create a Dataflow in a Premium per capacity workspace. The code run only 30 second in MS-SSMS but took >20 minutes to refresh and is still not finished. It's pretty painful to use Power Query to join 6 dim tables to the fact table to create a flat table for the user.
After intensive investigation, I have found that it took 5 hours to refresh Dataflow with native query while the same native SQL query take only 10 minutes to refresh in PowerBI Desktop PBIX file and it take 20 minutes for powerquery-made dataflow of the same data.
Any suggestion how I can use native query effectively with dataflow?
