My report is not able to perform refresh on power bi service. It works fine in Power BI desktop.

Here is the error message I am getting. can someone help me on this? FYI: My datasource was previously connected to SQLSERVER  and later I changed it via OLEDB connector and since then whenever I try to perform refresh, I receive the below error.

I tried to change credentials but it didn't work.

Yes, refresh works fine in power bi desktop version but when I published the report to service by adding a data source and made a connection with gateway by upgrading the credentials it returns me the above error. I verified the credentials and data sources with my DBA. Data source is connected up and running but the issue is with the refresh only so not sure what to do.

So you mean, after you migrating the data source to OLE DB, there is no problem when you refresh in the power bi desktop, but when you refresh in the service, you get an error, right ?

If this is the case, have you considered the issue of gateway ? You may need to update the credentials in the gateway settings of the service. Because from the error info you provided , it has mentioned that the credentials provided are wrong .

How did you change the source in desktop?

Did you Change credential or install a new gateway on premises?
