Multiple Snowflake Database Connections across Workspaces

I am only able to have 1 snowflake connection across all reports and all workspaces.  Does anyone know how to have one workspace use a snowflake user different than another workspace?

Scenario

  1. Using PowerBi desktop, I have created a Snowflake data source with database user X.
  2. I published the report X to workspace X
  3. Using PowerBi desktop, I have created a Snowflake data source with database user Y.
  4. I published the report Y to workspace Y

Result

  • When I run the report in workspace X, it uses user Y
  • When I run the report in workspace Y, it uses user Y

Expected Result

  • When I run the report in workspace X, it uses user X
  • When I run the report in workspace Y, it uses user Y

Hi @Anonymous ,

To my knowledge, this is by design. For the same data source, Power BI Service will only use the latest credential.

Please try to use another Power BI account to take over the dataset and reset the credential like so:
