I have been trying to connect to MongoDB to query clusters, I did create an atlas connection and selected the PowerBI Connector driver for me to query the database and get data into a dataflow service on powerbi Online. I have the correct credentails but I get this error everytime I try to connect. The URL and Database are all correct, the username and password are all correct.
But the feedback is always Missing Client Library for datasource
I am actually using the cloud service to connect therefore it is not powerBI desktop I am using. Do I need to install the driver regardless?
Hi @Bnemoh ,
The error message "Missing Client Library for datasource" typically indicates that the required MongoDB driver is not installed on your machine. To resolve this issue, you need to install the MongoDB ODBC driver on your machine. You can download the driver from the official MongoDB website. Once you have downloaded and installed the driver, you should be able to connect to your MongoDB database using the Power BI Connector driver. Additionally, make sure that you have the correct version of the MongoDB ODBC driver installed that is compatible with your version of Power BI. You can check the compatibility requirements on the Power BI website or in the documentation for the MongoDB ODBC driver.
