Measures to compute average of the previous six months

Hello I have a measure table that it is based on other table. The measure purpose is to count some rows with certian filtering criteria, usually I will report this per month, which works fine with the slicer. However, now I need to add a calculation of the average of this measure over the  previous six months. I have tried several tricks without sucess because the measure table doesn't have columns therefore, I am not sure what would be a good approach to have the average for the previous 6 months, based on my measures. Thanks on advance.

Here is a great blog post explaining how to get this done: Rolling 12 Months Average in DAX - SQLBI

You can change it from 12 months to 6 months.
