Maps Stopped Working

Yesterday I posted about Q&A suddenly no longer working in some of our workspaces.

We now have a new issue of maps not working in all of our workspaces! Yesterday they were working.

Further more if I download the PBIX of the report connected to the same dataset into PBI Desktop - the map loads!

Why are MS breaking everything?? We have paying customers looking at these and our hands are tied!

Can anyone help here?

Hi,

Download your report and try to recreate your map visuals and check.

I take it back... it worked and then stopped working again a short time later, even in PBI Desktop.

In PBI Service i see this error in the console

Access to fetch at 'https://www.bing.com/maps/instrumentation?q=&feature=sdk' from origin 'https://app.powerbi.com' has been blocked by CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. If an opaque response serves your needs, set the request's mode to 'no-cors' to fetch the resource with CORS disabled.

that worked for one i tested. even without recreating it, just downloading and reimporting.

But that's not a valid solution for all our deployed reports across all our client workspaces.

Why would this happen without anything changing on our end?

Bing appears to be having issues at the moment - see here

I'm having the same issue intermittently with maps embedded in an application.
