MIRRORING SNOWFLAKE - Tables not shown on UI for specific Database/Schema

I'm not able to see tables that I have access on Snowflake on the Mirroring UI on Microsoft Fabric.

I've already checked the permissions and I have all the ones required on the Database / Schema I'm working on.

All these command works for me on the Database/Schema:

SHOW TABLES

DESCRIBE TABLE

SELECT TABLE

CREATE STREAM

Even though being able to see tables on several other schemas, I'm not able to see the tables under the Schema I'm interested in.

I've also created a few different cloud connection using non and specific roles on Snowflake.

Any thoughts?

Thanks a lot!

Cheers,

J.M.

For all having the same issue, looks like that the Snowflake Cloud source is not using the Role we pass to it when configuring the Cloud Connection. When using the mirroring feature, it was picking the default role and not the one defined on the connection itself. This seems to me to be a bug, once we have a field in which we speciafically pass the Role needed for that connection. A workaround was to define another role (with higher permissions) as being my Default role in Snowflake. By doing that, the permissions worked and the mirroing feature started to work. Thanks a lot, Best Regards,

Hi @JOAOLBMARTINS

Since you have already checked the permissions, my current suggestions would be: please ensure that the mirroring configuration in Microsoft Fabric is set up correctly.

For more details about configuring the Microsoft Fabric Mirror Database from Snowflake, you can read related document link:

If still have questions please feel free to ask me.

Hello Yulia,

Yeah, I based my configuration on that link. However, there's no place on it that says how Snowflake connector works with Snowflake Roles.

I think this is one of open issues that Microsoft needs to tackle in future.
