Hi Team,
I have created measure for a title to reflect as follow.
If System time < Time 1 PM then output 1 or else output 2
I have created a measure Time 1 PM = Time(13,00,00) for comparision in the above DAX
Now when I published it on power bi services and scheduled to refresh it, i found out that in the dataset my system time is different and on reserching i got to know that the system time on power bi services will be the server time.
However, In my power bi desktop I added a measure Local Time = NOW() + (4/24) and now I am comparing this with measure Time 1 PM.
Now in my power bi desktop my local time is 4 hours ahead of my actual local time and it is taking the output 2, which should not be the case as my actual local time is before 1 PM, however I published this so that this time in power bi service data set will reflect as server time + 4 which will be the actual local time and after comparing it should give output 1.
But when I publish it and after the schedule refresh is done on power bi services when I check the data set it shows the correct local time for me, however it is taking output 2 only even my local time on power bi service data set shows before 1 PM.
Is there a issue with the measure I created (1 PM = Time(13,00,00)) to compare?
Note :- I have formatted this measure as 1:30:55 PM (h:nn:ss AM/PM) same as the time showing in power bi service dataset.
"Local time" is in the eye of the beholder, specifically whatever the browser of the user looking at the report thinks is local time. The Power BI Service always runs on UTC. Usually you should not interfere with that, and let the browser do the conversion.
