Linking to Sharepoint BUT file I want isn't displayed "the data in the preview has been truncated"

How do I show more options? The spreadsheet I need to link to doesn't show but is there?

Thanks!

Think I've fixed my issue, I needed to select Transform Data > then under Content select Binary on the file I wanted. Then select the tab I needed with the data and then I get data! (must remember this for next year). Thank you

Hi @RedWineGirl ,

I have found a similar post, please refer to it to see if it helps you.

Solved: The data in the preview has been truncated due to ... - Microsoft Power BI Community

This just means you only see the first 200 rows in this window and not all rows.

Once you really load the data everything will be loaded.

If I have misunderstood your meaning, please provide more details with errors, like screenshots.

Thanks - tried again this morning and now getting Details: "SharePoint: Request failed: The remote server returned an error: (503) Server Unavailable. (Service Unavailable)" so will try later! The issue I had was similar to the example, a but list of spreadsheets with mine not showing, but when I loaded all, the details of the spreadsheet was visible (e.g. size) but not the actual data within the spreadsheet.  Will try and see why I am getting the current error and then send screenprints. Many Thanks

If I load, this is what I get - so I can see the file name but can't get to the data?image.png
