Last Refresh Date in Service displays in US Date/Time Zone. To display in Australia Date/Time Zone

In the PowerBI report I have added Last Refresh Date field.
https://blogs.perficient.com/2022/08/24/how-to-show-last-refresh-date-in-power-bi/

In PowerBI desktop app the last refresh date displays correctly in Australia date/time, due to local settings.

I uploaded the PowerBi report in Fabric Services.
For the Semantic Models Settings , Refresh I have scheduled an automatic daily refresh @8am.

The Fabric logs display the automatic refresh is occuring daily, and displays in Australia date/time zone.

Today 04/03/2024 @8.05am. displays in Aus time zone

When I open the PowerBI Service report. The Last Refresh Date is displaying in US Date/Time zone.

Today - displays in US date/time zone

LastRefreshDate-02.jpg

When the users view the report, this will cause confusion as it appears the data refresh updates was done 1 day ago. When the actual data refresh is up to date and today.

The local device is set correct to Australia time/zone. PowerBI desktop app settings, in Options, Regional Settings for Current File, is English (Australia).

Is this a defect?
In the PowerBI service report online how can I get this to display in Australia date/timezone, as a standard anad consistency.

TIA

I don't think that's US time/zone.  The Power BI Service runs on UTC.

Please note that "Last Refreshed Date"  is largely meaningless.

Yes you are right @lbendlin  It is UTC time. I may have to code it to convert and display in Melbourne, Australia time zone.

Last Refresh Date field will inform users when the data has been updated. Otherwise they will contact me for data updates which I want to avoid, if the last refresh date is displayed on the reports 🙂

The Last Refresh Date is misleading at best. All it says is that the refresh happened. Says nothing about the freshness of the actual data.
