LADP server Connection issue

Hello Team

I have been trying to connect with LDAP server with Power BI. However , I am facing issues with the error as below :

"Oracle: ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified"

I have the entries in all 3 files ldap.ora,sqlnet.ora,tnsname.ora. I have also placed the path and TNS_NAME in variable. I have already installed the ODAC clinet. Also when run the

OraProvCfg /action:gac /providerpath:"Oracle.DataAccess.dll

it throws error.

It would be great to get help on the above issue.

Thanks and Regards

Akriti Singh

Hi @Anonymous ,

This is one of the most common Oracle errors and it is basically telling you that you are trying to connect to a database name that is unknown to the system.

The most common cause are typos in your connection string or network configuration files. So be sure to check your tnsnames.ora and listener.ora files. Also make sure your ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID are set to the proper environment. Sometimes you also need to make sure your TNS_ADMIN paramter is set if you’re using an alternate location for those configuration files.

Refer:How to Solve the Oracle Error ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified
