Issues with comma separator in PBI Service

Hi.

I'm working with PBI Service and when I upload local CSV file, the only separator I have is comma and I can not change it.

So I have a question (because I faced with a problem): how can I upload a decimal number? For example, I want to upload this number: 0,5.

When I write like this: 0,5 - PBI Service thinks that comma here is separator.

When I write like this: 0.5 - PBI Service thinks that it's not a number but text.

Please, help me figure out with it.

In CSV file, the separator is always comma. You can't write decimal number like "0,5", otherwise it will be resolved as 0 and 5. It supposes to work when your wirte like "0.5", even there's no sigma symbol before the data field, it will still be resolved as number which can be aggregated.

@Zirochka

You are using "Count" as aggregation type. That's the reason why you get 1 for all categories.

Please choose "SUM" or "Don't summarize".

hi @Zirochka, could I suggest possibly downloading and installing the Power BI Desktop?

In that way you will be able to import your CSV as well as a whole host of additional functionality in the Query Editor that you do not get online?
