Is there anyway to Compare Dataflow Last Refresh to the Latest Timestamp in the Dataflow?

I'm just wondering if there is anyway to compare the last refresh time of a dataflow to the latest data in a table in the dataflow?

The idea would be that this would alert us to issues with the data. Although the dataflow refresh is running the data in the table has not updated as expected and we can investigate.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

@higgy7   - One way I can think of is to capture the last refreshed timestamp in the Data Flow (as a record in a  table). You can do this in the Power Query Editor > Blank Query > Add the below code.

let

Source = #table(type table[Date Last Refreshed=datetime], {{DateTime.LocalNow()}})

in

Source

You can now use the last refreshed timestamp and them compare with the last datetime in your datasource.

Hope this helps !

Thanks very much  this is very useful.

Do you know of any way to create alerts or warnings to flag these kind of things or would be creating a report or dashboard be the only way to show?

Possibly using a tool like Microsoft Power Automate?
