Hi,
we are succefully pushing data into PowerBI through the REST API - but there are actually some minor data cleanup things we would love to do (e.g. there seem to be differnet kinds of "blanks" in our data).
Is there a way to access and edit the data set now via PowerBI desktop, make changes (filter) and deploy back online?
Thanks for the heads-up!
Cheers, Bjoern
Hi
Isn't it done in the Desktop by:
- Home->Edit Queries
- Do your formatting, cleansing, replacing;
- Close and load;
In "Advance Editor" or in the form "Applied Steps" you may see the steps performed and if needed, revert them.
It seems to me identical to the Excel PowerQuery.
No, Tsanka - this is specifically referring to data that goes directly into powerbi.com, via the powerbi REST API.
It has never touched the Power BI Desktop application.
I think this Idea is under review
