Inquiry About Automatic Data Refresh Issue in Power BI Service

Hi,

When data is retrieved without modifying the SQL statements in the Advanced Editor of Power BI Desktop, the automatic refresh in Power BI Service consistently succeeds for all data tables. However, if SQL statements are added in the Advanced Editor of Power BI Desktop, the results after publishing to Power BI Service vary, with some cases of successful refreshes and others failing.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide guidance on the cause of this issue and potential solutions. Please let me know if any additional information is required.

The services used for constructing the automatic refresh schedule are as follows:

• Tera Term
• MySQL Workbench
• MySQL Connector
• Power BI Desktop
• Power BI Service
• On-premises data gateway

ErrorCode=-2147467259 often represents invalid credentials for the datasets.

Please make sure you are using the correct data credentials and configuring gateway for all data source.

Or you could try to clear the credentials about MySQL in Power BI Desktop and reconnect to it. 

If the same credential still could not work in Power BI Desktop but in Power BI Service, try to use another authentication method to connect.

the error message points more to a transient network issue.

If you make meta data changes you are advised to update the app as well, but I don't think that applies to your scenario.
