Increase Data Refresh Speed

I have a pretty decently sized dashboard that I have built out. If I manually refresh the data within it takes only a couple of seconds. However, if I schedule it out and let the automation handle it takes upwards of 15 minutes according to the refresh history. Any ideas on why it is taking so long?

Hi there

The typical reason is because your scheduled refresh is one of many refreshes that are happening in the Power BI service.

Which means that they are all queued up and waiting their turn to get refreshed.

While when you click on refresh now it is not part of that schedule and gets refreshed then.
