Hello everyone,
For my work, I need to create a dataflows which will get data from an MS Access. However when creating the query on Power Bi Service, I have the error message : Could not use "; file already in use.
I have verified the following point:
- The MS access is on shared repository and is also in a shared mode
- The technical account used on the gateway for the dataflows have the writing rights on the repository
Thank you in advance for your help,
Best regards
Hello,
thank you for your answer.
The Read, Write, and Create permissions for the folder had been given.
We have installed the provider on the gateway but now I have another error.
No detail is given to help fix it.
Do you know how to solve it ?
Thanks in advance,
Hi @Inescha ,
1. If you're connecting to an Access database from Power Query Online, the system that contains the on-premises data gateway must have the 64-bit version of the Access Database Engine 2010 OLEDB provider installed.
2. Please make sure that all users who open the database have the Read, Write, and Create permissions for the folder in which the database is located. Additionally, if you're using a security-enhanced Access database, make sure that the users who open the database also have the Read and Write permissions on the folder. The folder contains the workgroup information (.mdw) file.
For more information, please refer to:
