Hello,
using Power BI Desktop, I have created a Custom semantic model based on the SQL Endpoint of a Fabric Lakehouse. The connection to the data source happens through the organizational Microsoft Account. From Power BI Desktop, I can correctly refresh data and publish everything to a Fabric Workspace.
However, if I try refreshing the semantic model from within the Fabric Workspace, I get the following error:
Please consider that neither the fact to have an Import model nor the way I connect to the source are up to me or negotiable, so I would like to understand what should be changed to make this process work.

Thanks for your reply. Indeed I had to create an explicit connection with OAuth authentication method and then it worked.
Hello @MattiaColuccia
By looking at the error I believe it requires a new data connection credentials as what was passed in it earlier, fabric is not liking it for some reason, you can try updating the data source credentials in the data source settings.
Please have a look if this is not voilated - Data refresh in the Power BI service will fail when the source column or table is renamed or removed. It fails because the Power BI service doesn't also include a schema refresh. To correct this error, a schema refresh needs to happen in Power BI Desktop and the semantic model needs to be republished to the service.
Thanks for your reply. Indeed I had to create an explicit connection with OAuth authentication method and then it worked.
