Hi,
I'm using a Python visual in a report. It's a ggplot2 linechart with several graphs/curves. There are slicers in the report. When I open the report in Service, the first time I use the slicer to filter data it takes 5-10 seconds for the Python visual to compute. If I unselect and reselect the same filtering, it takes about half a second. Why? How to make it take half a second the first time?
In my understanding, the report runs the Python script the first time I use the slicer, then caches the data and uses the cached data the second time the filtering is chosen. Is there a way to make PowerBI precalculate and cache a selection/filtering on data? IS there a way to make PowerBI load Python script runs in the background?
No, that is not currently possible. The queries for the visuals on a page are only run when the visual is rendered.
