How to point a report to use an Excel workbook loaded up on the service

Hi,

I've uploaded a report. Apart from the Analysis services data source (which is working), the report also needs to connect to a Excel workbook. I've uploaded the workbook to the Workbook bit of the workspace on the powerbi service, but the report data srouce is still giving me a red cross on the gateway as it's still trying to connect to the path to the excel workbook on the disk in my laptop. How do i configure the report to point to the excel workbook i've uploaded?

Hi @Corvettenut ,

I'm afraid you can't connect workbook in Power BI Service while connecting to Analysis services.

In Power BI select "Home...Transform Data...Data Source Settings"  and then in Power Query examine and change the Excel connection as needed. Hint: Right click on the Power Query and select "Advanced Editor".
