Cannot make this work for past 3 weeks :(((
I am using the same credentials to log in to personal gateway and to powerbi.com.
GW is connected and good to go yet it does not show up in the dataset management for uploaded pbix that uses local SQL as data source.
Cannot install DMG as I have no access to Power BI for Office 365 (I cannot create DMG key).
I have access to PowerBI 2.0 and Personal Gateway so I need a solution for the current offering not the old one.
1) Are you a Pro user?
2) How did you push your pbix file? Did you publish from the desktop or did you pull it up from the site via "get data" - I would attempt both. There (was/is) an issue in certian circumstances where publish from desktop was not working correctly.
I am a "pro trial" user in PowerBi.com even thogh I have an active attached PRO license in portal.office.com.
IMHO this is a messed up licensing / account issue.
My Office365 portal points me to powerbi.com but I think there are two different accounts in play (same login)
I used get data and opened a pbix from onedrive folder, also tried uploading the same file directly from local computer.
If you currently have a Pro account for O365, you can utilize the "Service Request" functionality outlined in this post. Might help resolve your issue if it is a matter of user set up/mapping.
