How to find datasourceObjectIds ?

Hello,

i want to use this rest api:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/datasets/bind-to-gateway 

 

but i need provide datasourceObjectIds for  the gateway.
Gateway Id i got from here:

How to check datasourceObjectIds from Power Bi Service?

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Forum community.

 

The answer provided by @SaiTejaTalasila  was indeed correct. Because In the Power BI Service, you cannot directly see the datasourceobjectid for a dataset. The Power BI Service interface does not expose this specific identifier directly to users. To retrieve the datasourceobjectid, you typically need to use the Power BI REST API.

I'm not sure where to find those details in service.You can check with your tenant admin he will help you.

Hi @jaryszek ,

 

Run this GET https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/gateways/{gatewayId}/datasources

 

It will list all datasources under that gateway, and inside that json output you can find id column and that will be your datasourceObjectId .
