How to disable "Export to .csv" for dashboard reports.

Hi all,

Is it possible to disable the 'Export to .csv' for tiles in a Power BI dashboard.

We want to stop external people being able to download the underlying data from our reports.

Hi. You can prevent the export to csv of tiles, reports, etc for the whole tenant if you change it over admin portal. It is recommended to use a security group of people that can actually export or the other way around.

Another thing I'm thinking but didn't try is changing the configuration of the report you are pinning. You can do it at Power Bi Desktop or at Power Bi Service to avoid export at all. Example at service like this:

If you just want to prevent the csv to a single tile, you can add it to ideas like Ibendlin says.

If you want to prevent users from downloading the data - don't show the data.
