How to connect to PowerBI dataset not using conncted live

I would like to create Power BI dashboard using one PowerBi data set using the flow as below: 

>Click 'Get Data' > Click 'Power BI dataset '> Choose the dataset 

Then I can import the data sources , and there shows 'Connected live to the Power Bi dataset: XXXX(datasetname) in XXX(workspace name)' ,

But I can not add any measure on this dataset. I would like to create the measures from this data source. 

How should I treat this issue. Thanks a lot .

You should be able to add measures, please make sure you have enabled it in the Preview Features in Power BI Desktop as shown below.

BIG thanks. I can set it as Direct Query now. 

But I still can not add measures for this dataset ,

I tried to add measures , but I can not choose the attributes in the dataset to make a new one. 

is there any way I can add the measures on it?
