How to change ownership of an App with multiple datasets with multiple owners

There are multiple answers to this question but none actually provide a solution - despite the claims.

Thanks!

Yes, I give you that. The wording is inconsistent.  Should say only one of them but not both.

In the company app listings, there is an 'owner' column  no 'publisher' column.

Apps don't really have owners. So you cannot "change ownership of an app" despite some of the wording (wrongly) referring to owners.

Apps have publishers and contacts.
