Hi,
We have an on premise gateway installed on SQL "server 1" with our ERP system located on "server 2".
This gateway on server 1 is installed by a general admin account (not mine) and is working fine. The gateway is used to get data from our ERP system on our on premise server 2.
However, now I added a Excel file from our organizations local folder and now it is not working anymore. How can I add a folder path as a data source? When I go to settings > manage gateways > data sources > new I get an error trying to add a folder as data source.

Hi @KasperJ90 ,
Whether the two servers are on the same LAN, if it is a LAN, you can create a shared folder and put this Excel in.
Power BI Service Connecting to a shared folder - Microsoft Power BI Community
Solved: Sharepoint Folder - Microsoft Power BI Community
Connecting to shared One Drive folder - Microsoft Power BI Community
If it's not on the same LAN, you can put this Excel in Onedrvice or SharePoint and access it by connecting to the link in Excel
Connect To OneDrive Excel File From Power BI Desktop (c-sharpcorner.com)
Use OneDrive for Business links in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
