Hello,
I'd like to use an SQL database (from a system) as my source, however when I connect to the databse, all of the fields come through in to PBi named as per the database field name and thereofre any options for example in a dropdown box will appear as their code as opposed to the Description (APPL / Apple). In the database there are additional tables with the field Descriptions (how the fields appear on the front end to the user).
My question is how can I link the relevant database field names with their corresponding Descriptions. Can this be done as a lookup in PBi or similar please?
Thank you in advance and any advice greatly appreciated.
Hi, @44Bailey ;
If i understand correct, i think you could use table visual, and select don't summarize.
Or use merge function in power query.
