How do I make my user Global Admin?

Hi,

I'm new to PBI Service and taking a course on Udemy to learn how to manage it. I currently do not have a work or school so I used a technique from a Youtube channel. I used my account on MS Azure and created an "Azure Active Directory" and used the domain name to sign up for Power BI Service. My course is now talking about the "Admin portal" and what they show on screen is not what I see:

In the course they said that if we didn't more options than this then you were not a "Global Admin". I'm looked in my Active Azure Directory and the only choices I see for the user of PBI Service are "Member" and "Guest".

I also gave my PBI Service user a Pro account so that I could learn my way around the service.

I would like to know how to make my PBI Service user a Global Admin.

Thanks

    Hi Sulfurous

Please refer to the following steps to see if it helps you.

Step 1: Open the Azure portal  https://portal.azure.com

    Step 2: Create a resource.

Step 3: Search for Azure Active Directory and click Enter

    Step 4: Click Create

Step 5: Select the default configuration and click Next: Configure

Step 6: Fill in the organization domain name, the initial domain name (can be filled in arbitrarily), country / region using the default selection, click the next step: View + Create

    Step 7: Click Create

Step 8: Fill in the given English words and click submit

Step 9: After waiting for a while, click on the green organization name

    Step 10: Click  user

Step 11: Click Create  new user.

Step 12: Fill in your username and name where the account name and password are the ones you first logged in with, click Create.

Step 13: Click on the new user

Step 14: Click on the assigned role

Step 15: Click Add Assignments, select Global Administrator, and click Add.

    Please have a try.

        Thank you !

I finally realise what I did wrong: I was using the wrong account in Power BI Pro account.

        Everything works now.
