Hi Team,
Need urget help in below scenario,
In my source DB table customer is maintaining latest one month data only. I am loading data from table by using SQL query.
I wanted to maintain data for 1 year, so I have configured incremental refresh and pulished the report. Few months later
I wanted to change the source query logic, now when I run the query in power bi desktop report giving one month data only.
When I tried to republish the report changes, lost the historical data in service as it is asking to overide the existing dataset.
Is there any possibility from power BI side not to loose historical data in Power BI service.

Hi @SNDG ,
I'm afraid it won't achieve what you want. When you readjust the incremental refresh time and publish it, the historical data will definitely be overwritten.
If you don't want to lose the historical data, my suggestion is to create a copy of the report and reconfigure the incremental refresh as needed and publish it.
