Help with alerts in Power Bi Service

You can try the following:

Disabling Alerts for Non-Admins: The key setting is in the Power BI Admin Portal, under Tenant Settings. There’s a specific option called Data alerts that controls whether users can create alerts on dashboards or reports. To fully disable alerts for all users except admins:

• Go to Admin Portal > Tenant Settings > Data Alerts
• Turn off data alerts for all user groups except the admins

This ensures that only admin users can create or manage alerts. If users still see alerts enabled double-check that no workspace or app permission overrides are allowing it.

Stopping Email Suggestions: The email suggestions you see when creating alerts or sharing content come from the organizational directory and Microsoft's suggestions in Office 365/Azure Active Directory. As far as i'm aware not really sure Power BI itself doesn’t provide a direct way to disable those suggestions.

To reduce or control these suggestions, you can:

• Review and adjust privacy settings in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center or Azure Active Directory under security and privacy settings
• Limit suggested contacts across the organization from those platforms

If this is a critical need, will recommend submitting feedback to Microsoft via the Power BI Community feedback channels for consideration in future updates.
