Graph changing when I publish to power BI online

Hi all,

I've got a report that I have built in the desktop, and when I publish it to the online power BI (where it is linked/shared to a sharepoint site), it changes one of the line graphs in a really weird way. Originally it kept changing the dates and I have since learnt how to change this (which seems to have worked) but unfortunately hasn't fixed the graph. Here are the screenshots of what the graph should look like, and does in desktop, vs in the online app.

It is even weirder because in the online version, it is showing me data from October 2020 which hasn't passed yet, and there is no data in my database which refers to this date so I don't know what it thinks it is showing me. I really thought it would be related to US vs UK dates but the date parameter I have at the top as a slider is in the correct format, which should be influencing what this graph shows me!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Please try to use UTCNOW or UTCTODAY on Power BI Desktop.

If you still have problems, please share some sample data as a screenshot if convenient.

And remember to remove any sensitive data.

Thanks.

Best Regards,

Giotto Zhi

Thank you for your suggestion. I am not sure it would work though? As I have a date slicer and the graph is based on the dates which the user chooses themselves, so I wouldn't want it to be affected by today's date.

Here is some sample data in a screenshot, and you can see the screenshots of the graphs in my initial post. I have also included a screenshot of the date slicer. The colours in the line graph refer to which salesperson is in question (also a filter on the report).

FYI the date on the slicer is the same on desktop as it is on the online one, but the graph is still showing as different online.
