I have two issues related to Google Analytics and I am not sure it they are related or separate.
Issue 1:
When using the Google Analytics service to connect, I have noticed this error recently:
Expression.Error: Google Analytics requires that at least one measure be specified.
This error occurs in the Navigation step right after the Source step (= GoogleAnalytics.Accounts). However, I am still able to view the data after the Navigation step and load in my Google Analytics data into the Desktop verison of Power BI.
Issue 2:
When doing a refresh in the Desktop Power BI, the tables that are connected to Google Analytics have the status of "waiting for www.googleapis.com" and eventually timeout with this error:
OLE DB or ODBC error: [DataSource.Error] GoogleAnalytics failed to get response: The operation has timed out
The other GA tables have an error of
OLE DB or ODBC error: Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040E4E
Are these errors in the refresh related to that Navigation step in issue 1? What can I do to have this not be an issue?
Hi @tsachs,
Based on my research, these are two different issues.
For issue one, you could see the reply in this thread.
For issue two, please check:
did you add extra columns to Google Analytics tables?
take a look at the Relationship Manager and see if there are any conflicting relationships
Check the data type to ensure data type of each column is correct before refreshing.
For more detailed suggestions, please see:
Data refresh error: OLE DB or ODBC error: Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040E1D.
0x80040E4E Error - OLE DB or ODBC
