Find out who ran the report and which value from the slicer was used.

Hello,

I have a Power BI report concerning clients(Direct Query). The report retrieves data from an on-premises Oracle data warehouse via a data gateway. There is a slicer in the report that allows users to select a client number and view information about the selected client.

Our security department requires log information detailing who ran the report and which client numbers were selected in the slicer.

Is it possible to obtain this information from any logs? Thank you.

Hi. From a Power Bi Perspective that's not possible. The Power Bi logs will store information of who is "viewing" a report but not the interaction using at the report. I'm not an Oracle expert, but may be you can get that from the queries that oracle should run to return the data that is connected with direct query.

I hope that helps,
