Hi, the link between my dashboard and sharepoint excel file (linked via web) is not broken - I have looked at many other forumns encoutnering this issue and have attempted to follow the instructions with no luck including removing the steps that apply to the error. It seems like it does not save and has not fixed the issue. I think the error is the what I have placed int he subject. Any help will be much appreciated.

That seems to be a different issue. Refresh your data source credentials in the dataset settings in the workspace.

Refresh all meta data in Power Query and re-publish.

thank you this worked until i encoutnered another error. please see below. not sure if this is linked or how to fix it?

Go through the error query and see if you can identify the column that causes the type mismatches.  Or set all columns to text first and then one by one change them to their intended type.
