our user report an error when trying to export data from matrix to Excel file. The matrix has two levels on the row (not pre-built hierarchy). When all rows are collapse and it was fine to export by choose "data with current layout". If the user expand and node on the row and export, it came back with message said "Executing the Query for the Export Data operation resulted in an error". I was able to export data by choose "Summarized data" option, but this option does not give me the data for total row (not all mesures are using sum the report, so losing the total line in the export file is not working for us). I don't know if this is a software limitation or something changed recently. Our user said that he was able to export fine before, i have no way to validate that. Any ideas?
Thanks,

Hi @wenchi ,
I have test my matrix table export to file by choose "data with current layout" and it work fine. Maybe you can republish the report and try it again. Please make sure there is a unique key in the table of the model.
I also found a similar problem being solved, which you can refer to.

The report is connect to Azure AS model using live connection. I have 2 levels on the rows plus 12 measures to display. If i collapse all levels on the row, the data exported just fine. If i exapnd one or two nodes, then i got the error. After numerous testing, i can export to excel if i reduce to 4 measures with few nodes expanded on the row. It seems the limitation of resource to execute the query? I don't quite understand why it's fine to export when collapse all nodes. The number of rows being exported is less than 200 rows if expand all levels.
