Hi community,
I have a problem. I am currently using a Power BI report with a Excel workbook, which has to be refreshed manually or by a macro.
this update takes a lot of time, memory and can only be updated by me (or with my credentials), because the data comes from an external database.
Now I have seen that I can upload and refresh Excel files in Power BI.
1) Is it possible that I can actually refresh the workbook like in Excel?
2) Can I then also add this Excel to Power BI as a new table?
If both of these points work, can you help me how this works?
Thanks a lot in advance!!!
Hi @Anonymous
These features are coming soon, but not available to everyone just yet.
With regards to your question once they go live is
1. Yes you will be able to interact with the Excel file and it will refresh.
2. You will be able to add the Excel Online into a Power BI report for people to view.
