I have a strange thing happening a few days ago using MS Excel connected to a Power BI Dataset and using CUBE functions (CUBEMEMBER, CUBEVALUE etc....). I have DAX measures to calculate YTD numbers and MTD numbers. In a pivot table all is fine but suddenly using CUBE functions all the MTD numbers equals YTD numbers?
I started fresh today with a new pivot table and using a pure pivot table all is fine:
Then I converted this pivot table to formulas keeping the report filters and all is fine:
Then I converted this pivot table to formulas but also decided to convert the report filters and then not working???
The Amount_MTD should be 47 023 but is suddenly same as Amount_YTD 361 275
Hi @JOAP ,
Please check whether your original data has been adjusted, and in addition whether a refresh has been performed. Generally speaking, most of this situation is caused by a change in the original data.
Best Regards
Lucien
Hi Lucien,
We refresh in batch 8 times per 24 hours so no issues there. I can also add that we have used this model for some time now and never seen this issue before.
Thanks.
Best Regards,
Johan
To all reading this - today it suddenly started to work again using only CUBE() functions in Excel connected to our MS PBI Dataset. I have no idea why that is, but of course very glad it works again 😀
Best Regards,
Johan
