Error data refresh My SQL datasource

Hello,

I am trying to refresh data of a published report, data source is MySQL, I am using a gateway.

Connection between gateway and DB has been succesfully tested.

The error message is:

{"error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","pbi.error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","parameters":{},"details":[{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingErrorCode","detail":{"type":1,"value":"-2147467259"}},{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingErrorMessage","detail":{"type":1,"value":"<ccon>We were unable to find a database provider with invariant name 'MySql.Data.MySqlClient'.</ccon>"}},{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingHResult","detail":{"type":1,"value":"-2147467259"}},{"code":"Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ValueError.DataSourceKind","detail":{"type":1,"value":"MySql"}},{"code":"Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ValueError.DataSourcePath",

{"code":"Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ValueError.Reason","detail":{"type":1,"value":"DataSource.MissingClientLibrary"}}],"exceptionCulprit":1}}}

Hi @AndreeaRadu

From the error message it is saying that it cannot find the database provider on your gateway.

If you had to open up the PBIX file on the gateway server does it successfully refresh?

When I created the connection, I had an error:

Unable to create connection for the following reason: Unable to connect to the data source. Either the data source is inaccessible, a connection timeout occurred, or the data source credentials are invalid. Please verify the data source configuration and contact a data source administrator to troubleshoot this issue.
We were unable to find a database provider with invariant name 'MySql.Data.MySqlClient'.

But I finally managed to create the connection by ticking the <<Skip test connection box>>.

Can this be a connector- related issue?

@AndreeaRadu  do you have any certificates related to your server?
