Error Gateway Connection Access

Hello,

we are currently facing the issue that when we are connecting an Access Database to our Gateway, we are not able to Update the Database on demand in the online Version of Power BI. Updating the file in the Desktop Version is no issue.

See error Code below:

{"error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","pbi.error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","parameters":{},"details":[{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingErrorCode","detail":{"type":1,"value":"-2147467259"}},{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingErrorMessage","detail":{"type":1,"value":"Unspecified error"}},{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingHResult","detail":{"type":1,"value":"-2147467259"}},{"code":"Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ValueError.Detail","detail":{"type":1,"value":"Problemfalldatenbank.accde"}},{"code":"Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ValueError.Reason","detail":{"type":1,"value":"DataFormat.Error"}}],"exceptionCulprit":1}}} Table: tbl01.

To mention some of the things we already tried:

- Update Access / Access Engine and Power BI to 64bit
- Update all involved Software to the latest version
- Restart of Server
- Building a Sample Access Database with very little information
- Set the Network settings of the on premises Gateway from HTTPS on to off
- setting the security options in the Power BI report as well as the Gateway to organizational as well as to none

All ideas are welcome

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

After contacting the Power BI Support we were able to solve it with this method:

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Power-Query/Using-MS-Access-as-a-data-source-with-On-Premises-Data-...

According to the support, another approach that might work is to place the access DB file  in Onedrive/SharePoint and then making a connection using the Onedrive refresh: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/refresh-desktop-file-onedrive#:~:text=Once%20...

I'm facing the same! We are using the latest version of On-premisse.

Nothing is working at all.
