Hi, I would like to configure our firewall to allow communication between the Enterprise Gateway and the Power BI service but only for the necessary datacenters used by our Power BI subscription. Our data is in South Central US (Texas), so can I restrict the firewall to only allow that datacenter for outbound gateway communication?
Solved! Go to Solution.
For optimal performance, it's best to open outbound communications to all of Microsoft Datacenter's in case of a disaster recovery scenario on Microsoft's end. If anything, you should open outbound communications to all the datacenter's in the USA.
Maybe @dimazaid can provide some more information on this.

I agree with @wonga, it's always better to open communication to all USA datacenters.
If you would like to whitelist the IPs for Azure Datacenters, this could help: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=41653
