Enable Fast Loading for already established Azure Databricks Query

Hi all,

I have a query with a connection to Azure Databricks. The Fast Loading option is not activated since the Databricks cluster was not Version 8.3 or higher at the time the query was set up. Now the cluster version was changed to 8.3 and I would like to enable fast loading. How can I turn on the fast loading option for an already established query?

Thanks for your help!

@Anonymous: thanks for the info but I was already aware of that. My question was how to enable the Fast Evaluation option for a query which I already set up and which has the Fast Evaluation option disabled.

I was able to figure it out:

In the Power Query Editor, in the Advanced Editor, you must change the following:

2021-09-30 17_36_55-Erweiterter Editor.jpg

 Change to:

2021-09-30 17_36_37-Erweiterter Editor.jpg

Hi @GSE

It’s a new function for Azure Databricks in Power BI September 2021 version . This update adds support for export and import of PBIDS files .More info about new functions for Power BI September 2021 version can refer to the link below .

When you connect to Azure Databricks , choose Enabled(Databricks SQL, Databricks Runtime 8.3+) in Fast Evaluation . It enables faster processing of large DirectQuery reports, as well as improved performance of large imports .
