Email Subscription

In our comapny we need add the date in the email body of the subscription, i have added html code in the subscribtion for put a link ,and worked :"<a href="https://cutt.ly/tjRstr5">Encuesta NPS</a> "  BUT DOESN´T WORK the code to pull the date : 

<p id="date"></p>
<script>document.getElementById("date").innerHTML = Date();</script>

 anyone know how to extract the date?

as far as I am aware I am not sure that an email subscription will run HTML code as part of the subscription.
