I faced this issue before, it went away on its own, and now it's returned. I need to get some report pages in my email, and I have turned on the subscription within app.powerbi.com. I get the emails, but they show an error instead of showing the reports.
I have tried turning off and turning on the subscription, deleting it and adding it again, etc. But it doesn't help.
Please I need a resolution asap.
Thank you.
Hi @amalm ,
Can you please provide some detail information to help us clarify your scenario? (e.g. datasource type, connection mode, RLS settings, data region, gateway setting...)

Hi @Anonymous thanks for your reply..
Data source type is mixed - There are reports from the Web, and from excel files updated through a gateway.
I don't know what is the connection mode, where do I get that? Gateway service account is given as NT SERVICE/PBIEgwService. There are no RLS settings.
Data region? The gateway is located in the Middle East.
The thing is, I can see all the data on the app.powerbi.com dashboard just fine. It refreshes properly. The only problem is with the subscriptions.
Hi @amalm ,
Did you apply any advanced operations on these datasource?(e.g. merge, reference, invoke custom function) If this is a case, I'd like to suggest you to remove these steps and try again.

Xiaoxin Sheng
