Hi All,
I am wondering if anyone has come up against the issue I'm experiencing.
I have a dataset that is using direct query. Which works fine once you are in the report. The issue I am facing is, I have an automated process that produces a report URL passing in a filter for a particular user. This does not seem to trigger the direct query to get the most recent data from the database. It pulls the most recent cached data on the service.
My question is how do I get Direct Query to function passing a parameter in the URL string to retrieve the most recent data?
Any assistance would be welcome.
Hi @Anonymous
Please check if the below post could help you.
Regards,
Thanks for the reply...the post you referenced was in regards to changing the data source using parameters. What I am trying to accomplish is triggering a direct query through URL filtering.
Right now, when I use a URL filter it displays the report with data cached in the service. I want it to refresh and pull the most recent data from the database.
All sources are set up for direct query.
@Anonymous I am running into the issue, did you ever find a solution?
Thanks,
