Difference between Import and Get data

Hi

i'm trying to create a document to show to my client on his options.

I still haven't tried the PBI Service option... having said that, i would like to ask:

(assuming that they also exist on Pbi Service): What is the difference between Import and Get data, on PBI Desktop and PBI Service?

Hi there

When you import data from Power BI Desktop, you can import data from multiple sources. You can also use the Power Query Editor to shape the data you import before bringing it into your data model.

When using Get Data in the Power BI Service, here you can bring in a single source, as is and currently you cannot make any modifications to the data and you need to use it as is.
