Deployment pipeline on existing workspaces with existing reports

Hello 🙂

Is it possible to create a deployment pipeline between two existing premium workspaces, both of which contain multiple live reports, without losing any reports or data?

I've been using two separate premium workspaces for development and production for a couple of years. Until now, I've manually uploaded reports from desktop to the development workspace and subsequently to production. I'm now considering a deployment pipeline for better workflow between these workspaces. However, I'm not sure what happens to the existing reports in my production workspace.

Will creating the pipeline affect my current reports? Can I upload an existing report to the development workspace and ensure it deploys correctly to production without issues?

Thanks!

When I am then to upload an existing report to test and then deploy to prod, will it work? or do I risk of breaking something?

Thanks

Hi @GambitMaster ,

You can only assign a single existing workspace in a pipeline.Creating a deployment pipeline should not affect your existing reports in the production workspace. The pipeline will manage the deployment of content between stages, but it will not delete or alter your existing reports unless you explicitly deploy changes that overwrite them.

Hope it helps!
