Deployment Pipelines Move to Another Node

We have a need to move 2 deployment pipelines to another node in our Power BI Premium. Can the workspaces contained within the pipelines be moved like normal workspaces or does the pipeline admin need to do something within the pipelines before the workspaces are moved? Will the pipelines have to be removed and then reset up on the other node?

Hi @rlking

They will just move!

Hi @rlking ,

After you have purchased capacity nodes in Microsoft 365, you set up the capacity in the Power BI admin portal. You manage Power BI Premium capacities in the Capacity settings section of the portal. For more information, please kindly refer to:

Configure and manage capacities in Power BI Premium

Stephen,

We have already set up our capacity nodes. I just needed to know if there was anything extra I needed to do to move deployment pipelines from one node to another (each pipeline contains 3 workspaces). Was there any reconfiguration needed on the pipelines or will they just move with the workspaces?

Hi @rlking ,

As @GilbertQ  said, they'll just move.

Hi @rlking

As far as I understand that should not cause any issues or changes required.

I would suggest to do it when there is no pipelines being deployed to ensure that there are no weird issues.

There shouldn't be any problem to re-assign workspaces to a different Premium capacity.

No need for re-configuring anything in the pipeline itself, it will just work after you re-assigned.

Hi there

As far as I know you should be able to move it from one Workspace to another workspace. As long as both workspaces have Premium Capacity there should be no issue.

Well, we're not moving it from one workspace to another workspace. We are moving the workspaces to another node in our Premium capacity and I want to ensure there isn't anything that needs to be reconfigured after the move.
