Deployment Pipelines - Approval Workflow & BigQuery Data Source

Hi All,

I have couple of questions -

1. Does Power BI Deployment Pipelines offers approval workflow?

2. Does Deployment Pipelines support GCP/BigQuery as data source?

Could you please explain what is the approval workflow clearly? You mean the three stages or something else?

As for the data source, these two data sources are not supported to define rules.

Data source rules can only be defined for the following data sources:

You can try to use parameters to configure.

Hi @v-yinliw-msft ,

Thanks for your response. By approval workflow, I mean to say if it has capabilities to trigger workflow to get approval from Business Process Owner to move the changes to higher instances (QA/Prod), just like we have as part of CI/CD in Azure DevOps or similar tools.

Regarding the supported data sources, is it only for defining rules or even for deployment. I came across a situation, where I was not able to see the PBI reports/datasets in dev workspace of deloyment pipeline having connected to data source beyond that list. It was not allowing me to deploy those components as well. Please note, there was to rule defined.
